Clark Theatre Teen Laughing Matter Improv

The newest comedy improv troupe in town has a familiar name. Clark Theatre is proud to announce another performance of Clark's own Laughing Matter.

Clark Laughing Matter was formed in September of 05 from a group of teens who had been performing in plays together at Clark Youth Theatre for the last several years. Since then, a number of other teens have joined the group.This will be its second performance. "We wanted togive the kids time to get used to the rapid fire give and take of comedy improv," says Frank Gallagher, adult leader of the group. "Most of them are already experienced performers, they just needed some time with the new format."

The new troupe takes its name from the oldest Imrpov group in town. The original Laughing Matter was formed 16 years ago, and continues to perform regularly at Heller Theatre. The same people that run Heller now also run Clark. "It was a natural to begin a new Laughing Matter with these dedicated young actors," says Gallagher.

Clark Theatre is part of the Park and Recreation Department of the City of Tulsa.
